Issued every two years, the National Waste Report is the authoritative collation of national waste data in Australia, based on information provided by the states and territories and various industry sources. The 2022 edition focuses on the status of waste and resource recovery in 2020-21, covering waste generation, recycling, energy recovery, source streams, material categories plus trends measured back to 2006-07. The Federal Government is using the report to measure progress against the National Waste Policy Action Plan’s 2030 targets.
In this webinar lead author of the 2022 report, Blue Environment’s Joe Pickin, will introduce the report and summarise its key findings. Time will be allocated for questions at the end of the presentation.
Leading waste and resource recovery specialists, Blue Environment have produced the previous three editions of the National Waste Report (2016, 2018 and 2022). Copies of these reports can be downloaded here. Further information on Blue Environment’s projects and services can be found at blueenvironment.com.au.
The webinar will be jointly facilitated by WMRR CEO, Gayle Sloan.
