James Moverley
Circular Economy Project Lead, Barwon Water
James has worked in the resource recovery sector in both the UK and Australia. In Manchester, England, he worked for Axion Recycling, an innovative shredder floc recycling company, diverting shredder floc from landfill and separating into its constituent materials including various grades of metals and polymers. Since arriving in Australia in 2015, James has worked in various roles in the sector, initially as a consultant at MRA Consulting Group, supporting clients developing their waste management strategies, performing audits on various waste streams and completing feasibility studies on organic waste services. Following his time at MRA James moved to Cleanaway, where he worked on the Victorian Rehabilitation project of several closed landfills in South East Melbourne, before moving into the Major Projects team and delivering a number of projects including organics facilities, general waste transfer stations and landfill gas programs. James has been with Barwon Water in the Circular Economy team since 2021, supporting the region in their transition to a circular economy on projects like the Regional Renewable Organics Network and other initiatives.
