MICHAEL ATTARD

Team Leader Sustainability, Infrastructure & Assets Network
City of Launceston

Michael is an experienced waste and resource recovery professional who was appointed to his current role of Team Leader Sustainability at the City of Launceston in 2016. In this role he’s responsible for the strategic delivery of the Council’s resource recovery, waste management and sustainability initiatives.

Michael is also a representative of the Northern Tasmania Waste Management Group (NTWMG), a collection of 7 councils in Northern Tasmania to provide resource recovery advice, funding, communications, education and advocacy for individuals, community groups, organisations, and local government. 

Michael has passion for organics, construction & demolition and e-waste recovery.
