Australia really is at a ‘tipping point’ in its relationship with EfW and the role that it can play in both the environment and the economy.  EfW and energy recovery have a clear and undeniable place in the waste management hierarchy; yet, at present, we have a multitude of state-based policies that appear to be struggling with embracing EfW’s place. 

On 16 and 17 March, WMRR will host its national EFW Conference in Melbourne. Ahead of this, it is vital that as an industry, we press on with the national conversation on the clear role that energy recovery has in sustainably managing material in Australia.  

As part of this conversation, WMRR welcomes guest speaker, Lasse Sander Tobiasen, Chief Consultant at Ramboll, to discuss the EU's experience with EfW and debunk some of the myths surrounding the industry in Australia.

		LASSE SANDER TOBIASEN Chief Consultant, Ramboll Waste to Energy Lasse is a Chief Consultant with Ramboll, a Danish/Global Engineering firm with more than 60 dedicated waste-to-energy experts.   Lasse has 20 years' experience in the energy sector with a main focus on waste to energy power plants, and has held strong technical positions in all parts of the waste-to-energy industry, including power plant owner, waste/biomass boiler supplier and EPC contractor.
