The Queensland Department of Environment and Science (DES) has commenced its review of the Waste Management and Resource Recovery Strategy and the waste levy efficacy. 

As part of this review, the department is seeking feedback from industry in areas including (but not limited to):

• the interactions between the levy and various policy and program measures; 
• appropriate governance arrangements for distribution of levy funds; 
• levy compliance and enforcement arrangements; 
• data and reporting needs and gaps; 
• the End of Waste Code framework and how it can be better applied to achieve the objectives of the levy and circular economy outcomes; and
• the continued relevance of the three (3) strategic priorities in the strategy. 

At this free members-only webinar, the department will take attendees through the review process and purpose, as well as the feedback being sought to inform the department’s review. There will also be an opportunity for members to pose questions during the webinar.
