The Waste Management & Resource Recovery Association of Australia (WMRR) invites you to our much-loved SA Women of WARR Leadership Breakfast to be held in Adelaide on Wednesday, 27 April 2022. This event is designed to recognise women who are driving change in industry, and in doing so, breaking down barriers and creating new career prospects for the next generation.

KATHRYN BELLETTE
Director, Policy, Assessment and Finance
EPA SA


Kathryn is Director of Policy, Assessment and Finance at SA EPA.  She is responsible for site contamination, development assessment, legislation and policy and business and finance, in addition to having oversight of the CDS review and chairing the national Heads of EPA CDS committee.  She was previously responsible for the SA waste reform program, updating the Environment Protection Act and Regulations relating to waste management and resource recovery.

Kathryn has spent 35 years working at the interface of environment and development and held membership of SA Government boards, ministerial advisory committees, tertiary education advisory committees and development assessment panels for over 25 years. She has an enduring interest in ecologically sustainable development including the circular economy. 

   

REBEKAH SCHUBERT
Executive Officer 
Central Adelaide Waste and Recycling Authority (CAWRA)


With over 15 years specialising in the Local Government sector, Rebekah worked as the Manager of Waste and Resource Recovery for the City of Port Adelaide Enfield before taking up the role of Executive Officer for CAWRA in August 2020.

Rebekah holds tertiary qualifications in science, environmental health and business, and for over 15 years has specialised in managing environmental health and community safety operations within Councils. This background combined with a keen professional interest provides the skill set required for CAWRA to pursue the circular economy and employment opportunities to the region. Her ideal blend of skills and experience ensures CAWRA is provided the highest quality of professional leadership and management capability throughout its critical establishment phase. 

   

CLAIRE KNELLER
Head of WRAP Asia Pacific
WRAP


As Head of the Asia Pacific office, Claire leads on all of WRAP’s work in the region, ranging from sustainable food systems, supporting plastics pacts, and reducing the impact of clothing.  All of this is underpinned by helping to develop more sustainable resource management systems and infrastructure, including developing markets for recycled products. 

With over 15 years’ experience in resource efficiency and the circular economy, Claire has worked with partners from around the world from Google, United Nations, and World Bank to the Global Food Banking Network, WWF and P4G.
