ARK DU

Ark has the background of chemical engineering, wastewater treatment and anaerobic digestion. After the PhD of environmental engineering, he has been working as landfill engineer at Woodlawn Eco-precinct for the past 5 years, with the passion of maximizing the landfill gas collection and minimizing the operation footprint, using different technical solutions, including optimized stormwater and leachate management.

STEVEN THANOS

Senior Environmental Engineer, GHD

Steve Thanos is a Senior Environmental Engineer with over 10 years of experience working within the Waste Management and Resource Recovery industry, with a focus on environmental management of landfill sites.

SZE-FEI PENG

Principal Environmental Engineer, Tonkin + Taylor

Sze-Fei is a Principal Environmental Engineer with 20 years’ experience in all lifecycles of waste management facilities, in particular landfill environmental management and design of landfill gas collection and mitigation system. She has particular interest in utilising landfill gas, and revenue generation from closed landfill sites, by forming collaborate partnerships with technology providers and investors, to provide innovative solutions.  

STUART THURLOW

Landfill Business Manager/ Principal Environmental Scientist, Australian Environmental Auditors

Stuart has a near 25 years’ experience in landfill and waste management.  He currently works as an auditor's technical expert for landfill operations, landfill/hazardous ground gas and vapour.   Stuart’s technical expertise is used by ten auditor's and many consultants across all states and territories.   He also appears as an expert witness in matters relating to landfill/hazardous ground gas and landfill management.
