Chris Carter is the Director of Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery in the WA Department of Water and Environmental Regulation. His team supports the WA Waste Authority and leads implementation of WA’s Waste Strategy 2030, which is focussed on waste avoidance and recovery to support transition to a circular economy. Chris joined the Department from the British Columbia Financial Services Authority (BCFSA) in Vancouver, Canada, where he led regulatory reform and transformation in the financial services space.
