Co-founders Annabel and Josie have experience in the waste industry, both government and private industry. Additionally, Annabel has a Cert 4 in commercial cookery and managed a regenerative farming market garden and Josie has a master’s in dietetics and extensive experience in public health nutrition. They have a diverse skill set and broad network of industry knowledge & connections.

Danielle Francis

Manager Liveable Communities, Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA)

Danielle produced WSAA’s Circular Economy Action Plan. She advocates for all options on the table for water planning; liveability and circular economy; and Indigenous issues. She leads initiatives to promote understanding and adoption of circular economy principles in water. Danielle has conducted years of research and advocacy on purified recycled water for drinking, optimising use of our most circular resource. 

Ben Bryant

Manager Environment & Sustainability, Icon Water

Ben manages teams delivering professional environmental management services, drives organisational sustainability programs and acts as liaison for government policy and regulation including compliance and impact management, catchment management, resource efficiency and climate change programs. Ben is also a champion for liveability, circular economy, research, development and innovation in the water industry through his involvement in the Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA) and WaterRA, including as a member of the WSAA Liveable Communities Committee and inaugural Chair of the Circular Economy Community of Practice.

Prior to joining Icon Water in 2012, Ben worked in environmental management, project management and audit in various Commonwealth government departments and research and development corporations. Ben holds tertiary environmental qualifications across engineering, science and law fields and is a Professional Associate with the University of Canberra and Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP).

Tharathon Navaphol

Acting Head of Business Partnership Development, Sydney Water

As part of Sydney Water Business Development team, Tharathon (Nav) leads a team of professionals responsible for new businesses, commercial opportunities, and partnerships development. This includes enabling large scale infrastructure delivery, exploring different delivery models and commercialising innovations, particularly to drive circular economy outcomes.

Prior to joining Sydney Water, Nav has background strategy, transformation, and business improvement roles with a focus on asset intensive industries including mining, utilities, and telco. Nav holds Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and Master of Commerce from the University of New South Wales.

Luke Holt

Project Development Director – APAC, Ramboll

Luke leads the Ramboll Energy Team in APAC, where they are leveraging years of experience and lessons learned regarding the implementation of circular economy gained from operations in Europe.  

Paul Michelin

National Sales Manager, Goterra

Paul’s role at Goterra is to complete the circle. He sources organic waste from businesses and organisations around Australia and ensures that the outputs, (frass and insect protein) re-enter the food chain. 

Paul’s passion for the environment started very young and culminated in the completion of a Masters of Environmental Management program at UNSW in 2018. This program introduced him to the circular economy and joining Goterra has allowed him to continue to advocate for circular solutions.
