HANS BRUYNINCKX

Hans Bruyninckx is a Professor of Environmental Governance at the University of Antwerp and Senior fellow at Singapore National University. He studied at the University of Antwerp, KU Leuven and UCLouvain la Neuve and holds a doctorate from Colorado State University in the US.

From 2013 to 2023, he was the Executive Director of the European Environment Agency of the European Union. Before that, he was a professor at the Catholic University of Leuven and at Wageningen University. He is a member of the United Nations International Resource Panel and has been advising governments, businesses and civil society organizations in Europe and at global level.
