Manuel leads Minderoo’s Sustainable Material Innovation & Investments program, which is dedicated to pioneering the development and commercialization of safe, sustainable alternatives to conventional plastics. A core part of his role involves supporting sustainable materials start-ups through Minderoo’s $250 million Strategic Impact Fund, which targets investments in early-stage companies aligned with Minderoo’s philanthropic missions. Manuel has a background in chemistry, holding a PhD from the University of Western Australia. He also holds a BSc and MSc in Chemistry from the University of Regensburg, Germany.
