'Heinz Schandl is a science leader in sustainable materials management and the decoupling of economic activity, environmental pressures, and impacts. He leads a research group for urban and industrial transformations and CSIRO’s Circular Economy for Missions initiative. He also leads the waste impact management initiative for the Sustainable Communities and Waste Hub of the National Environmental Science Program (NESP).

Jessica Feldman

Research Fellow, University of Southern Queensland

Dr Jessica Feldman is a research fellow at UniSQ. Jessica works as part of the NO WASTE Pilot Precinct and SIMPLE Hub team to advance knowledge on how Australia can implement strategies that reduce waste generation and enable waste recovery and value-adding. This includes circular economy research into a range of materials including food, glass, biomedical plastics and agribusiness waste.

Bronwyn Sutton has extensive experience in bespoke program integrating behaviour change, comms, engagement and education. She’s worked extensively across community, government and corporate, as a people leader, consultant and engagement advisor. Her subject matter specialities include CE, place-based learning and climate change. Her Master of Education (Adult and Work-based Leaning) thesis explored how public sphere waste education works as transformative learning.

Research Scientist, CSIRO

Taryn is a transdisciplinary research scientist specialising in participatory and mixed methodology that integrates multiple knowledge to address sustainability challenges, including circular economy transition, climate change adaptation and ecological restoration. Her current research aims to inform the circular economy transition in Australia, enhance economic development planning in regional Australia, and scale up coral reef restoration in the Great Barrier Reef..
