Roger has taken many projects through various Commonwealth, State and council approvals processes across a variety of sectors and has been heavily involved in community and stakeholder engagement.

Tom Wetherill is a Senior Associate with Jacobs Engineering. He has over 30 years international experience in the waste and resource recovery sector and has been involved in planning and implementation of waste-to-energy projects in Australia, Asia and the United States.

Esther Landells

PhD Research Student, Fight Food Waste CRC/CQ University

With a passion for organics recycling and a background in teaching environmental education, Esther’s current role is as a Fight Food Waste CRC PhD student with Central Queensland University. She has worked for over ten years in Australian Local Governments specialising in waste education and related projects, including working on several food organics/garden organics kerbside bin implementations.

Russ Martin

Director, MS2

Russ Martin has over 30 years’ experience in product stewardship, public policy, bioenergy and sustainability, both in government and as an advisor to industry and governments. These roles have been in the US, Australia, New Zealand and Middle East. Russ is Director of sustainability consultancy MS2 and CEO of the Global Product Stewardship Council.

Sofie Mason-Jones

Manager Environmental Assessment and Planning, GHD

Sofie is the manager of GHD’s Sydney Environmental Planning and Assessment Team, a team of >50 practitioners specialising  in impact assessment, approvals, sustainability, climate change, air quality and noise. She is a Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) with over 15 years’ experience in environmental impact assessment and approvals for major infrastructure projects and is currently involved in a number of waste management and EfW projects.
