Circular Economy Project Lead, Barwon Water

James has worked in the resource recovery sector in both the UK and Australia. In Manchester, England, he worked for an innovative shredder floc recycling company, diverting shredder floc from landfill and separating into its constituent materials including various grades of metals and polymers. Since arriving in Australia in 2015, James has worked in various roles in the sector, initially as a consultant supporting clients developing their waste management strategies, performing audits on various waste streams and completing feasibility studies on organic waste services.  James then delivered various projects, including organics facilities, general waste transfer stations and landfill gas programs as part of the projects team at some of Australia’s largest waste firms. James has been with Barwon Water in the Circular Economy team since 2021, supporting the region in their transition to a circular economy on projects like the Regional Renewable Organics Network and other initiatives.

Tim Faragher

Principal Environmental Consultant, Jacobs 

Tim is a Principal Environmental Consultant with significant environmental management experience. Since joining Jacobs, in late 2021, Tim has supported clients, across a range of industry sectors, preparing regulatory approval applications and providing strategic advice for options analysis, decision making, stakeholder engagement, compliance obligations and approval processes. Prior to Jacobs, Tim had almost 17 years’ experience working for EPA Victoria.

Roger has over 22 years’ experience with extensive skills and experience in environmental impact assessment (EIA) and environmental management. He has a strong track record of leading and delivering large and complex EIA projects through various statutory approval processes through local, State, Commonwealth and EPA mechanisms across a variety of different industry sectors, including Energy from Waste.

Pablo Gonzalez

Strategic Development Manager, Veolia

Pablo is a Strategic Development Manager at Veolia. He is an environmental engineer and has been delivering waste management and resource recovery projects for Veolia for more than 18 yrs including at the Woodlawn Eco-Precinct and Banksmeadow Transfer Terminal in NSW. Pablo is the Strategic Technical Lead for the Woodlawn Advanced Energy Recovery Centre (the ARC) approvals process and has been involved since its inception.
