DAVID MCALISTER
Manager Resource Recovery, Ipswich City Council
David currently holds the position of Manager Resource Recovery, with Ipswich City Council, leading the Councils commercial waste business unit. With over 20 years in the waste sector within local government, with Brisbane City Council and now Ipswich, David has worked in and managed the biggest and fastest growing waste areas of any local government.
Having delivered the first green waste services in the State in 2010, through to the BCC Waste Alliance and enormous collection contract, David now works to deliver a broad strategy of changes to the face of resource Recovery services and facilities, in one of the fastest growing areas in the country.
David holds qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Project Management as well as a suite of contract management and customer focused accreditations.
