OUTSIDE THE SQUARE, INSIDE THE CIRCLE

WMRR will be hosting the 2020 SA Waste and Resource Recovery (#WARR) Conference from the 28-29 October 2020 at the Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide SA.

The year has been anything other than business as usual for both Australia and our essential industry. Areas of our beautiful country have been ravaged by fire and floods and now COVID-19 has impacted us all and led to markets that were already under pressure practically closing down. The Federal government has become actively engaged, export bans are coming, and we now have national calls to build on-shore markets for remanufactured recycled products to grow jobs, build Australian resilience and focus more on value rather than cost. Who would have predicted that in 2018 when we last met in Adelaide?

This year more than ever we have demonstrated that our industry is essential, and resilient. We believe there is a lot to talk about and are looking forward to meeting and sharing our stories in late October.

With the need to transition to a sustainable circular economy and manage finite natural resources now a necessity, the conference theme for 2020 is outside the square, inside the circle..
